How to Format Your Name for the Mindfulness Fundamentals Course

Now that you know how to change your name on Zoom, here is how we’d like you to format your name during the live instructional classes which are recorded.

  1. First put the initials CP if you are a course participant or VM if you are veteran meditator.

Course participants have committed to attending all of the course classes, or watching ones missed, and doing their best to do the course’s daily, weekly and monthly mindfulness missions.

Veteran meditators have already taken one of our courses, or have been attending the School of Love for some time. They are welcome to attend whenever able.

  2. Then add a hyphen (-) and the letter “C” if you only want to communicate via chat or an “S” if you are willing to speak.

  3. Then put either your first name or class name that you want people to call you.

  4. Finally, in parenthesis put your pronouns.

Here are some example name formats:

CP-C Maple (they/them)

VM-S Sheila (she/her)

For couples Zooming in on the same screen it might look like this:

VM-C Persistence (she/her) and CP-S Waterfall (he/him)

VM-S Water (she/her) and Fire (they/them) (in this case both are veteran meditators willing to speak)

If you have any questions about this, please contact the course instructor.
