Our time together includes a 60-minute-long guided meditation, followed by a discussion. Longer meditations help a person become more calm, settled, and focused; and allow a person’s practice and mindfulness to deepen.
The discussion allows you time to share your experiences, learn from other meditators, ask questions, and get individualized answers to the questions you have regarding your meditation and mindfulness practices.
To stimulate discussion, the group meditation facilitator will have questions, typically regarding your experiences applying the information from previous group meditations.
These group meditations are free and open to the public. Feel free to invite any interested friends, family, and colleagues.

- Although not required, we encourage you to bring your journal for taking notes and doing written activities.
- No donations will be requested or accepted at these meetings. This is the Dakota County Library Policy. If you feel moved to donate, follow the instructions on our donation page, but this is not necessary. These events are offered freely for your benefit and welfare.
